Winter vacation Snow & Fun in the vacation region Zell am See-Kaprun

The Woferlgut is the ideal starting point for winter sports enthusiasts. The free ski bus takes you several times a day directly from the front door to the ski areas of Zell am See and the glacier area Kaprun. Also by car it is only a few minutes drive. With the Zell am See-Express a new connection to the skiing areas of Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang was created. So countless kilometers of slopes provide ski & snowboard fun. But also non-skiers get their money's worth here. The cross-country skiing network includes more than 300 km of groomed trails. The numerous cleared hiking routes with views of a unique winter landscape leave an unforgettable impression.

Skiing

The free ski bus takes you directly to the ski areas of Kaprun and Zell am See several times a day. Here you have access to 138 kilometres of pistes in the two ski areas Maiskogel and Schmittenhöhe as well as the glacier ski area on the Kitzsteinhorn (over 3,203 m). From Kaprun you can reach the glacier with the Gletscherjet and the Panoramabahn or with the 3K-onnection.

From Zell am See you can quickly reach the Schmittenhöhe ski area (2,000 m) with the CityXpress, the TrassXpress or the Schmittenhöhenbahn, or from Schüttorf with the Areitbahnen.

You will find slopes of all levels of difficulty and especially family-friendly slopes.

Ice skating

Depending on the thickness of the ice, you can skate directly at the Woferlgut or at Lake Zell. A natural ice rink is also available at the Sportcenter Bruck.

Cross-country skiing

You can enter the cross-country ski trail Bruck directly at the Woferlgut. It leads over a distance of 3.4 km. In total, you will find 21 km of perfectly groomed and partly floodlit trails in Bruck and in neighbouring Fusch. There are more, for example, night and high-altitude trails in Kaprun and in Zell am See.

Ski tours

Being as close to the winter nature of the mountains as a ski tourer. You can do this on the slopes and on the marked ski tours in the Kitzsteinhorn glacier ski area or on the Ronachkopf ski touring mountain in Thumersbach.

Snowshoe hikes

Enjoy nature to the fullest while snowshoeing between glacier, mountain and lake. Whether on a guided tour with our experienced guide or on your own, you will experience the winter landscape from its most beautiful side here.
